Position Summary
As an Insurance Sales Team Lead, you’ll lead, coach, and elevate a team of licensed agents to consistently hit sales/enrollment goals—while protecting a best-in-class, fully compliant consumer experience. This role blends hands-on leadership, sales performance management, training, and compliance oversight to drive results with integrity.
Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Coaching
- Lead and motivate a team through daily coaching, real-time feedback, and performance monitoring
- Run huddles, weekly 1:1s (or as needed), and team meetings to reinforce compliance, sales strategy, and priorities
- Serve as the primary escalation point for agent and client concerns—resolving issues quickly and professionally
Sales Performance & Results
- Drive execution against individual and team targets (apps/day, conversion, retention)
- Monitor and optimize dashboards, KPIs, and lead flow to maximize productivity and outcomes
- Track and report performance trends, providing clear, actionable insights to leadership
- Step in as needed to handle overflow calls and complete compliant enrollments during high volume
Training & Development
- Support new-hire ramp-up through onboarding in systems, compliance, and the sales process
- Provide ongoing coaching in objection handling, compliant language, and needs-based selling
- Mentor top performers into advanced sales roles and future leadership pathways
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Safeguard compliance with CMS/Marketplace guidelines, TCPA, and HIPAA—ensuring enrollments are handled correctly
- Audit calls for quality and compliance using established rubrics and checklists
- Partner with QA/Compliance to address violations, implement corrective actions, and strengthen standards
Operational Support
- Own scheduling and coverage to keep the floor supported (including oversight of fronters for proper coverage)
- Collaborate with leadership on lead distribution, sales campaigns, and SEP strategies
- Support continuous improvement across CRM workflows, scripts, and reporting tools
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Health Insurance License in good standing
- 6+ months’ experience in a lead/mentor/SME capacity (formal or informal), including coaching, huddles, and performance feedback
- Working knowledge of CMS/Marketplace compliance, HIPAA/privacy, and TCPA consent requirements; able to document coaching and corrective actions
- Proficiency with enrollment systems, CRM, and dialer tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish bilingual
- Experience with workforce coverage/scheduling and/or QA call monitoring
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
- 1+ ACA Open Enrollment/SEP season experience or 6+ months of recent ACA enrollment experience in a call-center environment

Insurance Sales Team Lead
Pay: $29.00/hour + up to $1,200/month bonus (Performance-Based)
Schedule: 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Location: Onsite – Tampa, Florida
High-volume environment: Must be comfortable coaching in real time and taking overflow enrollments when needed.
